The Shipshewana Town Council is a five-member council. The council members serve four year terms, which are staggered. Town Council members may serve multiple terms; there are no term limits

Vice President – Town CouncilI grew up right here in Shipshewana, and have lived in Shipshewana all of my life. I completed my high school education at Westview High School and went on to get my bachelor’s degree from Indiana University majoring in Business Administration and Management. I married my wonderful wife, Kayla, in the summer of 2017. I currently work at the Davis Mercantile right here in Shipshewana as the building manager & head of maintenance. Some of my hobbies include white tail deer hunting and exercising at Body On Cue Health and Fitness in Middlebury.

Elmer Mast
Town Council MemberElmer has lived in LaGrange County all his life. Elmer and his wife, Kassie, have lived in Shipshewana since 2002. He is employed by Jayco in Middlebury, and is eager to serve his community.

Arlene Lazzaro
Town Council MemberArlene served on the council previously beginning in 1982 and served as council president from 1984 – 1990, and then returned to the council in 2012 and is currently serving as the vice president. She has lived in Shipshewana since 1972, and taught second grade at Shipshewana Scott Elementary for 21 years. Arlene has also been happily married to her husband Carl for 56 years. Over the years she has also served as president of the Park Board and served on the Storm Water Board at different times.
