NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
TOWN OF SHIPSHEWANA SALE OF VACUUM SEWER TRUCK
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Shipshewana, Indiana, by and through its Town Council, will receive sealed bids for the sale of a 2002 Vac-Con Sewer Truck with 11,383 miles and a Sterling chassis. The vehicle has been stored in a climate-controlled garage throughout its lifetime. The vehicle is being sold “as is.”
Sealed bids must be sent by certified mail and marked “2002 Vac-Con Sewer Truck Bid” on the envelope will be received at the Town Hall, 345 N. Morton St., P.O. Box 486, Shipshewana, IN until 6:30 p.m. local time on Thursday, April 27, 2023 (“Deadline”). Bids will also be received by hand delivery at the beginning of the regular meeting of the Town Council in the Town Hall on the Deadline. Bids may be in the form of cash or credit towards the purchase of a new replacement truck (e.g., “$35,000 cash or $40,000 credit with replacement purchase”). The minimum bid is set at $20,000.00. Bids received after the Deadline will be returned unopened unless an unfair competitive advantage would not result.

No bids may be withdrawn after the Deadline without the consent of the Town for a period of sixty (60) days. The Town accepts no liability for the costs incurred in preparing the bids or otherwise responding to this Notice. The Town may reject any and all bids received.
